I still remember a short memory an old friend shared with me: He was visiting a kindergarten and heard two children speaking about meat.
Child 1: Do you like meat?
Child 2: No. I don’t eat meat.
Child 1: But what do you like?
Child 2: I like salami.
In Liberia, reactions are quite different. The question “do you like meat?” has the same quality as “do you like breathing?” – and is therefore obsolete. Beyond that, the first reaction Liberian children have when seeing sheep, goats, fish, pigs, cows, etc. in a movie is: “meat”!
I leave it to you to decide which world is more real. Maybe enclosed photos might stimulate your thoughts. Bon appetite!
